In case you are wondering 'Moya' (from Moya Moments) is my last name from my dad's side. He was the first influence i had on my love of photography. For as long as I can remember he used to carry around a film camera and he would take countless of photos of the family. My mom used to get mad at him for taking our photos in diapers or underwear and her not being 'presentable' or looking at the camera (they didn't have unlimited chances with film like we do with digital so we cant blame her😅) but today I absolutely cherish and am thankful those memories . Thanks to these photos I get to live moments that I would not be able to remember because I was so little, but the photos take me back and help me piece together my family story.
Based in Tampa Bay, I am originally from Cuba. I was raised within a big family under the core values of respect, honesty, generosity, commitment, reliability and I was taught to value family above anything else. All of these values are hence the pillars of everything I do, including my photography. I commit 100% percent to giving you my best, and capturing memories that are true to you and your family.
Given my love for people, communication and interpersonal relations, I majored in Foreign Languages, focusing my studies in Speech and Text Analysis. I think that is the reason why it's easy for me to communicate with and relate to others. I have had my clients always tell me how they felt like they were comfortable around me and how I made it fun and relaxed for them. But mainly, it's because I truly care! I am so thankful for my own family and I'm so appreciative of all our little moments! So when your announcing a pregnancy, or when I see the way a parents look at their babies or run after their toddler, or when a big brother holds his little sister's hand, it is really food to my soul and I want to serve you in preserving these memories. I want to be there for you, to "CAPTURE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE, NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE"
I've always enjoyed taking photos on my point and shoot camera or my phone. But my journey as a photographer didn't begin until after I became the blessed mom of the most wonderful baby girl 💖 Seeing her grow so fast, and being completely amazed by all the everyday changes she was undergoing, I soon found myself taking countless photos to hold on to those precious little moments that will mean the world tomorrow. My wonderful husband then gave me the second most dear gift I've ever gotten (first being my girl🙃)...my camera! As my passion for photography and capturing these fleeting moments only grew stronger, I decided take it to the next level: sharing it with others. I thought how amazing it would be to do the same for you and your family.
Photographs really are a "ticket back to a moment otherwise gone". So let's focus on collecting those tickets; and allow me to serve you in holding on to your memories.
